This year, in Maruxas de Nata, we celebrate another year of recognition by the International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi), considered the "MICHELIN GASTRONOMIC FOOD GUIDE", after having already been awarded in 2013 with its highly coveted stars.
This recognition is of the utmost importance because it is a unique award in the world, coming from a leading organization in the sector. And it is that the ITQI (International Taste & Quality Institute / International Institute of Flavor and Quality) based in Brussels, is made up of a Jury chosen from more than 200 renowned Chefs and Sommeliers members of 15 professional culinary institutions of the highest prestige in Europe, dedicated to the search for exceptional flavors in more than 120 countries around the world.
The evaluation process is extremely rigorous. Each judge performs a sensory analysis of the product - blindly - and assigns a score that reflects the overall sensation of hedonic pleasure. Our rich Maruxas de Nata have stood out especially for their special flavor, which the jury has valued extraordinarily, in addition to their texture and color, in the opinion of the jury deserving of this special award.
